Harrisburg, PA (AP) — A judge dismissed a proceeding filed by the owners of seven casinos in Pennsylvania trying to shut down an online lottery game in Pennsylvania.
A federal district court judge, Judge Lenny Corn Juberel, ruled on Tuesday that casinos allege that lottery internet-based games violate state law using a system that is unique enough for slot machines and casino-style gambling. Denied.
This is a Pennsylvania lottery win, with agency revenues continuing to grow as sales reach a record $ 5 billion this fiscal year.
Casino lawyer Mark Stewart says his clients are considering legal measures.
Online lottery games are expected to generate sales of over $ 900 million this year.
