PHH welcomes Mulcahy as the brand new emergency drugs life-style

DuBOIS – Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes Emergency Doctor Brendan Mulcahy, DO, to its medical staff.

Mulcahy joins the DuBois emergency room team at 100 Hospital Ave. in DuBois and the Elk Emergency Room at 763 Johnsonburg Road in St. Marys.

Mulcahy served as Medical Corp Officer, Battalion Surgeon, 112th Battalion, and as an instructor in the F. Edward Herbert School of Medicine of the Uniformed Services School of Health Science. He also serves as a paramedic and volunteer firefighter.

Common treatments and procedures include diagnosing acute injury or disease, severe cuts, severe pain, heart attack, stroke, major eye problems, broken bones, and complications from chronic diseases.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Mulcahy practiced at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Ross / West View EMSA in Pittsburgh, and St. Marys Area Ambulance Service in St. Marys.

Mulcahy holds a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. He graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie. He graduated from Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with a degree in emergency medicine. Mulcahy is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, the Emergency Medicine Residents Association, the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine, the National Association of EMS Physicians, and the Special Operations Medical Association.
