Ben Muti tends to build a beehive up in Troy Hill’s house.

Ben Muti literally and figuratively wears many hats.

He gives something back to his community with the actual fruits (and vegetables) of his work when he does not help others as a nurse on the dark side. His various ducks, sometimes heard around Troy Hill, lay eggs, which Ben often shares with his neighbors through the Facebook community page.

Most interesting, however, is to see him on the roof and Ben also takes care of the bees in his own enclosure. After teaching myself how to graft a tree (which makes your fruit tree grow into multiple varieties from the same roots), I overcame acrophobia and was a complete beekeeper with camera equipment. Climbed a ladder in a suit to check his daily routine.

Almost everything he does is as sustainable as possible, including his garden, which produces a lot of food for himself and his networked friends. The pine needles that he burns and uses as smoke to calm the bees were also donated by his neighbors. And honey is packaged and sold. Most of the pieces of wood in his house were also built by Ben.

“Working in your hands is rewarding, sustainable and has an impact on others,” says Ben.

My words couldn’t justify Ben’s many skills, talents, and efforts, but people like him did it to get me into their lives and make the city better. Thank you for showing me just some of my activities.
