PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A new policy will come into effect in Pitt this fall.

Unvaccinated staff and students planning to return this fall must participate in rigorous measures to contain COVID-19.
These measures include mandatory COVID-19 tests that can take place weekly, as well as quarantines and contact tracing if the person is exposed or infected.

Students who live on campus must also have a negative test result before moving back in.
Pitt cited concerns about the rapid spread of the Delta variant as a reason.

They also said that failure to comply with these measures could result in disciplinary action.
