PITTSBURGH – Two years ago it was the summer of the alligator: within a few months, half a dozen alligators were found in different parts of Pittsburgh in 2019. On Tuesday, the city council unanimously passed the ban on the possession of alligators, crocodiles and red-eared sliders.
According to our partners at TribLive.com, the ban has been postponed for a year due to problems with the Pittsburg Zoo & PPG Aquarium that would have broken the law.
Those who own the animals six months before the regulation comes into force are exempt from the ban. You must have $ 1 million in insurance coverage, among other things. Breaking the law could face a $ 1,000 fine for breaking the law.
