Carnegie Library in Downtown Pittsburgh

After more than a year of offering Curve side service Limit the number of people in different branches, Carnegie Library in Pittsburgh Return to full capacity.

CLP announced that it has added more business hours and increased market share at all 19 branches. Regular customers will now be able to search the list of new times and requirements that will take effect at local branches and library facilities on Monday, July 19th.

The organization stated in a press release that it had reassessed and made changes to the COVID-19 Health Protocol as part of its resumption. As part of that, the mask requirement has been removed and “there are no restrictions on visitor frequency or computer usage time.”

In addition, services such as laptop rental will be resumed, furniture and toys will be returned to the reading area, and personal devices will be allowed to be used.

“Face-to-face programming and outreach remains pending, but virtual programming continues,” adds the release. “At this time, meeting room space cannot be reserved and cannot be used privately.”

Wearing a mask is no longer compulsory, but there are some caveats with CLP. To assist in the transition, the CLP used a sign to “encourage unvaccinated visitors of all ages to wear masks in the space,” because there are no children aged 2-12 yet. Vaccines that provide child-sized masks to young patrons everywhere. Unvaccinated adults should continue to wear masks.
