PITTSBURGH – There will be a series of community meetings next month to learn more about how Pittsburgh should spend its $ 335 million US bailout plan.

According to our partners at TribLive.com, the face-to-face meetings take place:

  • Monday, August 2 at 6 p.m. at the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers, 10 S 19th St.
  • Wednesday, August 4th at 6 p.m. at the West End Health Active Learning Center, 80 Wabash St.
  • Monday, August 9 at 6 p.m. at the Pittsburgh Project, 2801 N Charles St.
  • Wednesday, August 11th at 6 p.m. at Kingsley Center, 6435 Frankstown Ave.

City councils approved a four-year spending plan last week after holding several public input meetings. Several people advocated that the money be used for food programs, something that is not included in the spending plan.

The municipal council holds the meetings despite the summer break.
