Pittsburgh Playhouse provides nationwide theater occasions which are nearly streamed from neighborhood information
Live on stage theatrical performances and visual arts documentaries open the National Theater’s live events, hosted for the first time by the Pittsburgh Playhouse at Point Park University.
“We are excited to bring NT Live’s exceptional productions and documentaries to audiences in Pittsburgh and beyond. If you’ve never seen a live NT performance, you’ll find the quality of the acting, production and filming is simply breathtaking, ”said Drew Martorella, vice president and general manager of the Pittsburgh Playhouse.
The first set of National Theater Live (NT Live) offerings includes art documentaries about Frida Kahlo and a tour of the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, as well as the award-winning West End theater productions War Horse, Kinky Boots and 42nd Street. More NT Live events will be added later in the 2021 season.
Recorded performances and art documentaries from NT Live can be viewed on any device, including a home television screen. These are ticket and time events, not video-on-demand.
