The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police’s first comfort dog is celebrating its second birthday.
Zane, a golden retriever, came to the office in May 2019 as a tiny, fluffy puppy.
He assists parishioners, children, and office officials.

The office says Zane was busy during the pandemic.
He continues his K-9 training and performs when he can.
He visits the Squirrel Hill Jewish Community Center every month to greet children and walks around Squirrel Hill and Greenfield with the Pittsburgh Police Chief Scott Schubert.

During his downtime, Zane loves a good nap and watches TV with his handler.
