Pittsburgh police officer attending the Trump rally in DC after Capitol protests
A Pittsburgh police officer is under investigation after posting a photo of himself attending a rally for President Trump in Washington, DC, the day pro-Trump rioters stormed the nation’s Capitol.
The photo, which was reportedly posted on his Facebook account, showed Thomas Goldie, an officer with the Zelia District Police Department, wearing a hat that read “Trump MAGA 2020 for Your Sentiments,” according to reports from CBS Pittsburgh.
Zelienopel police chief Jim Miller told WTAE that the officer was not part of the crowd that broke into the Capitol, but added that the matter had been turned over to the county legal department and they would conduct further investigations.

Police did not respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
The chaos that erupted in Washington DC on Wednesday came after Trump held a rally calling on his supporters to go to the Capitol and “fight” for the “stolen elections”.

Trump’s unfounded allegations of widespread electoral fraud – which ultimately culminated in a violent day of chaos that turned a joint congressional session on its head, forced senators and members of the House of Representatives to go into hiding and killed five people – seriously spurred lawmakers in Congress to the To weigh up the prospect of impeachment.
More than 80 people have been arrested, and the FBI is pursuing arrests for dozens of other suspects who indicted the building and who overpowered law enforcement that day.

Former Pennsylvania State Representative Rick Saccone was forced to resign from teaching after boasting of his participation in the riot. Meanwhile, a West Virginia delegate, Derrick Evans, is resisting pressure to do the same after posting a video of himself at the Capitol amid a crowd of Trump supporters.
