Pittsburgh Steelers continues to be operating to signal JuJu Smith-Cobbler
It’s not over yet. According to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, the Pittsburgh Steelers are still in the mix to sign JuJu Smith-Schuster, the recipient for free agents.
Shortly before Garafolo’s news, Ian Rapoport reported that Smith-Schuster is currently talking to the New York Jets. According to Garafolo, the Steelers “haven’t closed the door” and “have been dealing with the situation for the past few days”.
Smith-Schuster remains the name Steelers fans would love to see in Pittsburgh. The earlier round two polls and Pro Bowler may not have generated the buzz he was hoping for as the broad market still left some big names floating around on Thursday.
Garafolo warns us of an exciting ending that could result in Smith-Schuster staying in Pittsburgh. He mentioned earlier in the off-season that he would like his legacy to stay with the Steelers, but he would seek a contract that was worth his or her worth.
