PITTSBURGH (WTAE) – Scott Schubert, the Pittsburgh Police Chief, made it his mission to explore all of Pittsburgh’s 90 boroughs.

Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 reporter Chris Lovingood caught up with Schubert on Mount Washington on Tuesday morning.

Chef Schubert records his experiences in the neighborhood in front of the camera in order to get to know the city better.

“I love Pittsburgh. It’s a beautiful city. I love the people here and I love photography and it all comes together. It helps me reduce stress, ”said boss Schubert.

Part of his support process is to post his photos on his Pittsburgh Police Chief Instagram page.

The boss said he also enjoyed the moments during his walks when he could engage with the public.

“It gives people the opportunity, when they see me, to talk to me and see what’s going on,” said boss Schubert. “I think everyone has to see that you are human, no matter who you are in this job. We are all human, we all live in a community, we all want to help people. “

Schubert encourages the community to step out of their comfort zone and see a new neighborhood.
