SS. Peter & Paul in Crossingville for the 100th anniversary
An Orthodox Church in Crawford County will mark a milestone this weekend.
SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, 25636 N. Mosiertown Road, Crossingville, southwest of Edinboro, celebrates its 100th anniversary.
The congregation was founded in 1921 by Slovak farming families and is now a growing and multi-ethnic congregation, church officials said. It is a member of the Archdiocese of Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania Orthodox Church in America.
Celebratory events this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. will include an outdoor open house with church tours, ribbon cutting for a community playground and icon garden, pet blessings, live music, children’s activities, a food truck, local vendors and more . Vespers will take place at 4 p.m., followed by a grave blessing.

The Divine Liturgy with Archbishop Melchizedek takes place on Sunday at 9:30 am, followed by lunch.
