PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Three Pittsburgh licensed liquor establishments have been warned after police visited companies to ensure they were following COVID-19 instructions such as the temporary ban on indoor dining.

State Police officers visited 1,324 facilities Monday through Thursday, issuing 11 reports of violations and 17 warnings.

The unannounced compliance audits ensure companies are tracking efforts to mitigate the coronavirus like wearing masks and the recent three-week break from eating indoors.

The Pittsburgh Enforcement Office police visited 244 companies and issued 3 warnings and no indications of violations.

Bars and restaurants that have reported a violation are not named because they are being investigated. Each Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement office publishes details of citations later this month.

A notification of a violation is given before an administrative quote, according to the police, and is intended to inform the institutions which violations have been found. State Police say violations may come up against an administrative quote, and persistent violations put a company’s alcohol licensing at risk.

If you have a complaint about a licensed facility that is not in compliance with the coronavirus mandates, you can call 1-800-932-0602 or file a complaint online.
