Alcohol control police officers visited 73 licensed facilities across the state Friday through Sunday to ensure coronavirus instructions were followed. They issued 1 violation notification and 5 warnings.

Bars and restaurants reported one violation that will not be named as it is under investigation. Each Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement office will publish details of citations later this month.

Police say these checks could take place anywhere in the state but are focused on areas with higher COVID-19 transmission rates.

A notification of a violation is given before an administrative quote, according to the police, and is intended to inform the institutions which violations have been found. State Police say violations may face an administrative quote, and continued violations jeopardize a company’s alcohol licensing.
