PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Steelers are reportedly calling for an interview with Chargers Quarterbacks coach Pep Hamilton for the team’s offensive coordinator job.

According to Josina Anderson, Hamilton was told that Pittsburgh was filing an interview request.

“I was told that #Chargers QB trainer Pep Hamilton had been informed that the #Steelers were making a request, according to the source, to interview him for the OC job,” Anderson reported on Twitter.

Hamilton has experience coaching in the NFL, college, and the XFL. He joined Los Angeles for the 2020 season after serving as the head coach and general manager of the XFL’s DC Defenders.

He has 13 years of NFL coaching experience.
