PITTSBURGH (AP) – An aircraft with 77 people on board left a taxiway at an airport in western Pennsylvania prior to takeoff, but no injuries were reported.

Delta Air Lines Flight 2231 was about to depart from Pittsburgh International Airport when it partially slipped into a ditch around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Boeing 717 went to Atlanta.

The plane was safely evacuated and everyone on board had taken the bus back to the terminal. Delta said many passengers decided to continue their journey on an alternative plane late Wednesday evening, while others left on a regular scheduled flight Thursday morning.

Delta said it is conducting a full investigation into the incident in coordination with the Allegheny County Airport Authority and “other aviation actors”.
