PITTSBURGH – Plans for the first private ground development on the 28 acre site of the former Civic Arena in Lower Hill are ready and slated for a full hearing with the Pittsburgh Planning Commission.
The Pittsburgh Penguins and their development partners are due to inform the commission about the $ 230 million new 24-story FNB financial center that is slated for part of the former arena property near downtown, according to the agenda.
The development team, which includes the Buccini / Pollin Group and the Gensler design office, is planning to approve a final land development plan for lots G-1 and G-4 of the former arena site, on which a new office tower is expected to be the new headquarters of FNB Corp. (NYSE: FNB).
