BETHEL PARK (KDKA) – Holidays can be a difficult time for women with cancer.

This is where “The Pink Pamper” comes in to help.

They are a local organization that supports women fighting breast, ovarian and other cancers.

On Sunday they helped more than 30 families and distributed more than 1,000 toys and hundreds of clothes.

“Because of the financial plight of cancer, we help women because they know the children are coming home from school and [say] Little Billy gets it for Christmas, little Suzie gets it for Hanukkah, and suddenly the mother is in a lot of stress because she worries that if I wasn’t sick, I could do that for my children, “said Marian Geisler, the president and founder of The Pink Pamper, “So let’s take the stress out of her and help her.”

The local hospitals helped choose the families who needed the help.
