The Pittsburgh Enterprise Group On Well being broadcasts the winner of the Innovation Summit in Fall 2020

PITTSBURGH, January 7, 2021 / PRNewswire / – The Pittsburgh Business Group on Health (PBGH) today announced Quit Genius as the winner of the PBGH Fall 2020 Innovation Summit, which will identify and reward new healthcare technology, products, or services to help employers get healthier Build workforce.

San Francisco, CA.Quit Genius is the world’s first technology-based digital multi-addiction clinic that gives employees and health plan members 100 percent remote access to a proven treatment program. It is estimated that one in four Americans struggles with substance addiction, which is detrimental to health and happiness.

“PBGH is proud to recognize Quit Genius for their work in developing an easy-to-use digital platform that enables employees to improve their lives and fight back the addictive behaviors that are limiting their ability to lead healthy lives,” he said Jessica Brooks, CEO & Executive Director, PBGH.

Quit Genius is based on the simple idea that everyone deserves access to high quality, affordable addiction treatment. It is a good business decision for employers to offer a high quality addiction solution.

“If this option is not enabled, addiction can destroy someone’s life. The price of addiction affects both individuals and employers. Many organizations fail to understand the real cost of a substance disorder in relation to health care. Employees with multiple addictions are one of them. We are thrilled that forward-thinking organizations are gradually realizing this problem and taking steps to resolve it, “said Dr. Yusuf Sherwani, CEO and Co-Founder of Quit Genius.

Brooks said while more than 50 companies were being considered for the Fall Innovation Summit, a pre-selection committee reduced the number to just five finalists, which was the most promising for employers. During the summit, each of the finalists presented themselves to a “Shark Tank-like” employers’ panel from which a winner was selected.

The nominations for the PBGH Innovations Summit in spring 2021 will open in January 2021. More information is available at www.pbghpa.org.
