The Pittsburgh Enterprise Occasions Names Richland, Windber Space Amongst High Colleges within the Information Space
The Richland and Windber Area school districts have again topped the area for education, this time being named one of the top 100 school districts of the decade by the Pittsburgh Business Times.
Windber was ranked 73rd out of nearly 500 schools in Pennsylvania, and Richland was ranked 96th.
Both districts have also claimed the top placements in their respective counties for 2021.
Richland landed on the 80th honor roll that year, followed by Westmont Hilltop and Penn Cambria for Cambria County, and Windber holds 106th place, followed by Conemaugh Township Area and Rockwood Area in Somerset County.
Typically, the Pittsburgh Business Times evaluates schools using standardized test scores.
With no assessments conducted in the past year, the 2021 ranking is based on a 10-year review of the results students received in grades three through eight, according to the PBT website.
