Summer camp planned at the NK Salvation Army

The New Kensington Salvation Army is hosting a summer camp for children ages 6 to 12 at the center, 255 Third Ave., from June 15 to August 13.

The camp takes place Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $ 25 per week per child plus a $ 10 registration fee and includes breakfast, lunch, and a snack.

Saturday: Arnold Volunteer Engine Co. will be at Arnold No. 2 Training and Social Hall, 1702 Fifth Ave., sponsor a drag queen bingo. The doors open at 12 noon. Cost: 30 USD; $ 35 at the door, includes eight regular games, and there are specials and additional packages. The kitchen is open from 12 noon to 2 p.m. BYOB. Must be at least 21 years old. East Vandergrift

20th June: The parish of Our Lady, Queen of Peace, sells raffle tickets for the entire pig raffle. The winner will receive a whole pig, a 20 cubic foot freezer, a $ 200 gift card for the Locust Grove Country Shop, a $ 200 gift card for Rukas Beverage, and a $ 100 gift card for the Pizza Den by Vandergrift Fox. June 11th : St. Joseph High School is holding an online basket draw as part of the annual Spartan Scramble golf excursion. June 11th: St. Joseph High School is holding a $ 20,000 super raffle. Cost: 100 USD per ticket. Prizes include a grand prize of $ 20,000 and three runner-ups of $ 1,000. June 13th: The Elks host a vendor bingo at 1pm in the lodge’s ballroom, 228 Market St. Doors, which is open for lunch. There will be a 50/50 raffle, small games of chance, food and a silent auction. New Kensington-Arnold School District

Tuesday: Kensington-Arnold’s new school board will open at 7:00 p.m. at Valley Jr.-Sr. High School Boardroom, Stevenson Blvd.


Today: The Holiday Park Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a food truck rally at the Fire Station at 415 Old Abers Creek Road from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Outdoor seating will be available and there will be activities for children, instant win tickets and a 50/50 raffle. Social distancing required.
