The Three Rivers Arts Competition returns with a mixture of in-person, digital occasions – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – For the first time in over a year there will be life in the cultural quarter.

On Thursday, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announced plans and headliners for the 2021 Three Rivers Arts Festival. It will be a hybrid format, with a mix of personal and virtual events.

“This year’s Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival shows off the cultural district. The doors of our galleries, theaters and venues are open for the first time in more than a year, and we couldn’t be more excited, ”said Sarah Aziz, festival program manager for the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.

The festival will have a smaller footprint this year. Everything will be in the cultural district. There’s nothing in Point State Park or the Gateway Center with the main stage at the Byham Theater.
