Chicago (AP) The Chicago White Sox put Jake Lamb on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday to revive his outfielder colleague Billy Hamilton from Illinois.
The White Sox also brought back Triple A Charlotte’s first baseman Gavin Sheets and optional outfielder Luis Gonzalez to their top farm club.
A 30 year old lamb has right quadriceps strain. He hit .244 with 5 homers and 10 RBIs in 31 games in his first season in Chicago.
Hamilton was placed in IL on June 6, with a tension slanting to the right. He has scored two home runs, 10 RBIs and 5 steals in 36 games for the leader of AL Central.
The 25-year-old Sheets, who reached his second round in the 2017 Amateur Draft, is aiming for his debut in the big league. He was at the White Sox for a few days earlier this month but didn’t play in the match.
The 6-foot-5-seat hit .292 with 7 home runs and 33 RBIs in 41 games against Charlotte. He can also play the outside court in the corner.
Spreadsheet’s father, Larry, played major in Baltimore, Detroit, and Seattle for eight years.
Gonzales, 25, won 6 games against the White Sox 2-8 after being recalled by Charlotte last week. He scored his first big league hit on Wednesday in a 4-3 win in Pittsburgh.
