These are the perfect faculties within the U.S. for 2022, based on Pittsburgh-based area of interest – WPXI

PITTSBURGH – Pittsburgh-based college rankings and ratings website Niche has released its annual 2022 list of the best colleges in the country, and local universities have ranked high among the 4,100+ colleges and universities analyzed.

For his methodology, Niche combines data points from sources such as the U.S. Department of Education with ratings and reviews from current students, alumni, and parents to weight metrics such as academics, campus, and the total value of each college’s financial investment, among other factors.

What was new this year, however, was the devaluation of the weighting of standardized test results from the providers of the SAT and ACT. Niche said it cut that metric by 50% due to several factors including “recognition of socio-economic and racial differences perpetuated by standardized testing,” challenges posed by the pandemic in scheduling personal tests for exams, and an increase the number of institutions that have implemented test-optional guidelines, which Niche said was the case for nearly 1,000 of the institutions analyzed.
