MANOR, Pa. (KDKA) – Three children are hospitalized in the Manor district after a fire.

The fire broke out around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday morning. The intense flames destroyed the house, which at the time contained two teenagers and a younger child.

To escape, the teenagers opened a window and jumped into trees. A neighbor went into the house to rescue the younger child, who was apparently in the basement.

The three children have been hospitalized for observation and possible smoke inhalation, but KDKA’s Ross Guidotti is told they will be fine.

At noon the fire brigade was still pouring water on the house. The investigation into the cause of the fire is now ongoing.
