Tuesday midday recital at First Lutheran Church
The Pazzynski Family and Ukulele Eddie hope to lighten a hot summer day when they return to First Lutheran Church, 415 Vine St., Johnstown, July 27 for a Tuesday noon recital.
The emphasis will be on fun with light-hearted music and some audience participation.
Janet Pazzynski and Eddie Wiancko perform throughout the Pittsburgh area as Paz and Ukulele Eddie.
Janet is a singer-songwriter-percussionist. She was the lead singer and song writer for the rock band On Beyond Zebra. She also wrote and performed music for “Vinegar Tom,” a stage play, and produced and was featured in a YouTube music video, “Pittsburgh PA.” She performed in a percussion piece, “Tolkien’s Rhythms of the Land.”
Her recordings include the musical “I Do Times Two.” She voiced Massy Harbison in a tour production about the victim of an Indian attack. She has appeared in various musicals in the Pittsburgh area. She has been a cantor in a Ukrainian church.
Eddie studied music, performance and percussion at Norwin High School, where he participated in the concert band in addition to the well-respected Norwin Knights marching band. He has a minor in music from the University of Pittsburgh. Janet and Eddie had several Live Stream concerts during the pandemic. They also entertained senior citizens in a nursing home near their home.
Frank Pazzynski is a retired professor at Waynesburg College. Over the years he has played rock, disco, country, blue grass, jazz and blues. Currently he works with a praise team at First Presbyterian Church, Waynesburg.
Tyna Pazzynski Kaltenbaugh is a vocalist providing harmonies and light percussion.
The recital is underwritten by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and donations.
