PITTSBURGH, PA – Veteran KDKA TV news anchor Stacy Smith will retire in late May, the broadcaster said on Monday. He has been with the broadcaster for 38 years and has over half a century of television news experience.
“I thank you from the bottom of my heart for coming to KDKA every day,” said Smith on the broadcaster’s website. “It has been my privilege to tell the stories, from tragedies to triumphs and
the everyday events that affect our whole life. “
Prior to joining KDKA, Smith served as a newscaster for WDAF-TV in Kansas City, Missouri for six years. Prior to that, he worked at WHAS-AM / FM / TV in Louisville and WIFE-AM in Indianapolis. Smith began his broadcasting career in December with WLBC-AM / FM in Muncie, Indiana
