PITTSBURGH – Following the sale of the property approved for a research office tower to the University of Pittsburgh, Walnut Capital Partners is pursuing new plans along Halket Street within Oakland’s busy Fifth and Forbes business corridor.

According to a statement from the community organization Oakland Planning and Development Corp. Walnut Capital plans to demolish three neighboring townhouses from 107-111 Halket Street, which border Euler Way.

Greg Perelman, CEO of Walnut Capital, said his company owns the land and is trying to demolish it for an uncertain plan by the company.
