Washington Co. Meals Financial institution Hosts Large Turkey And Thanksgiving Meals Distribution – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Washington County Food Bank grocery workers distributed more than 55,000 pounds of Thanksgiving food to families on Saturday.

The helpers say the need is great.

“With inflation soaring, the cost of inflation is making Thanksgiving more inaccessible to people. With this in mind, we wanted to go further and not just distribute here in Washington, but two distributions in which we serve over 1,000 households, ”said Justin McAtee.

The organizers say this turkey and food distribution is the largest in the county.
