Ice storm warning for the Laurel Highlands due to significant freezing rain events starting this morning.

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – ice cream … why did it have to be ice cream?
Some people don’t like snakes, for me the icy conditions are the worst and unfortunately we will see our share of icy conditions later in the morning until well into the afternoon.

Conditions in most locations should be good enough to be able to drive safely after 1:00 p.m. with temperatures well into the mid-30s.
Around 5:00 p.m. we will see temperatures close to 50 degrees, and by midnight the temperatures will be in the upper 40s.

We stay warm until Saturday morning with Saturday morning temperatures on Saturday until the 40s.
Looking ahead, the weather pattern will calm down a bit over the next week, with a more zonal pattern expected. The heights look pretty consistent throughout the work week.
At this point in time in the mid-1940s, I was forecasting highs for the entire working week.
