Winter weather advice from 10 p.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday. Sunday will be a hit day. The snow showers start early on Sunday morning after 3 a.m. and move from south to north. The first flakes will fly in southeast Ohio and expand north into the Pittsburgh area before dawn. Snow will be widespread on Sunday. Some areas off I-70 and the south may experience a brief period of rain in the late afternoon, but locations in and around Pittsburgh will only receive snow. The snow showers will last until Monday. This is a long duration event that lasts over 2 days. There will be a couple of thunderstorms on Tuesday before it dries up and warms up in the middle of the week. Here’s what we expect: * Pittsburgh Metro / South: 3-4 inches Sunday, additional 1-3 inches Monday * I-80 / North: 2 inches Sunday, additional 1-3 inches Monday Sunday: Cloudy, widespread snow Low : 28 High: 33 Monday: Cloudy, snow showers Low: 29 High 34
