Witnesses describe the second a cherished one from Pittsburgh was run over by a driver – WPXI

PITTSBURGH – A beloved Pittsburgh businessman was attacked in broad daylight – purposely run over by a driver.

The neighbors didn’t believe what they saw on Lowrie Street in Troy Hill at lunchtime.

The owner of Ron’s Pizza Palace was about to park when he noticed a very impatient driver behind him.

“The gentleman practically sealed him off and got out of his car,” said a witness who wanted to remain anonymous.

Witnesses said the driver then went to the victim’s window and slapped him in the face.

The victim was staggered when the driver allegedly bumped him with the front of his SUV and knocked him to the ground.

“He backed up half the length of a car, skidded and run over,” said the witness.

The victim was hospitalized in critical condition.

Neighbors are in shock.

“He’s a sweetheart. For that to happen, going to work or taking a break and going back is just incredible. “

The police are investigating and trying to locate the driver.
