CRESCENT TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania (KDKA) – A young eagle was killed when hit by a car in Crescent Township.

Crescent Township police say they were called to an accident on McGovern Boulevard near Premier Pan and discovered that a young eagle was blown in the windshield.

The driver of the vehicle was not injured, but the windshield was completely destroyed.
According to police, this is the second adolescent eagle to have died in the past week.

“The animals are breathtakingly beautiful. It’s a sad day in Crescent Township, ”the police wrote on Facebook.
