2 folks shot lifeless outdoors Pittsburgh Kids’s Hospital after an enormous struggle – WPXI

PITTSBURGH – Two people were shot dead outside the UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh late Thursday evening after a major fight, authorities said.

Police were called around 10:30 p.m. about the brawl on Penn Avenue in the Lawrenceville neighborhood, and when officers arrived at the scene they were told that a man had been shot multiple times. He was transferred to another hospital in critical condition, officials said.

When Channel 11 News hit the scene, dozens of police cars were seen and much of the sidewalk near the entrance to the children’s hospital was cordoned off. Entrances to surrounding parking garages have also been blocked.

The second person who was shot didn’t realize they were hit by the gunfire until they got home, police said. Most recently it was listed in stable condition.

Investigators said they would search the numerous surveillance cameras in the area.
