2 individuals shot useless within the Pittsburgh neighborhood – WPXI

It’s been a violent weekend in town so far.

One resident told Channel 11 that he grew up in the area, left for a few years, and when he came back nothing had changed.

Two men were shot dead in a Pittsburgh neighborhood on Saturday afternoon.

There is still a lot of gun violence, and this gunfight is just one of many residents who hear about it every week.

The police are on Frankstown Ave. and N. Homewood following a shotspotter alert on site.

Pittsburgh Police responded to a shotspotter alert for shots fired shortly after 12:30 p.m. in the 7100 block on Frankstown Avenue

“Originally it sounded like the wounds were pretty serious. The police were able to put tourniquets on both victims until the paramedics came, ”said Cara Cruz, Pittsburgh police officer.

This came just days after a 6-year-old girl was shot in the stomach on the same section of Frankstown Avenue. Local residents say this is nothing new in this neighborhood.

The police have not yet arrested a suspect but are still investigating.
