ADAMS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – The Adams Township Police Department is working on the launch of its first K-9 unit.

On Facebook, the police chief says they hope to have one by the first week of August.

The department also raises funds to offset part of the cost of purchasing a K-9, including training, materials and equipment, medical expenses, and more.
