PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Allegheny County Health Department reported 1,198 new coronavirus cases and two more deaths on Saturday.
Of the newly reported cases, 795 out of 2,632 PCR tests were confirmed. There are 403 likely cases.
“New cases range from 1 month to 101 years with an average age of 47,” says the health department. The dates for positive tests are December 2-11. According to the health department, 23 of the positive tests are older than a week.
The age groups of the newly reported cases are as follows:
- 00-04 – 15
- 05-12 – 31
- 13-18 – 53
- 19-24-104
- 25-49-462
- 50-64-246
- 65+ – 287
Of the new cases, 677 of the new cases were in women and 521 in men.
The death dates were December 2nd and 10th. One person was in their 80s and another in their 90s. One of the deaths was related to a long-term care facility.
There have been 2,432 hospitalizations in Allegheny County since the outbreak began.
The nationwide death toll has risen to 660.
There have been a total of 39,227 coronavirus cases among residents of Allegheny County since the pandemic began.
