MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – A 10th inning RBI double from Colin Moran broke a 5-5 tie and proved the game-winning hit for the Pittsburg Pirates on Sunday against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Daniel Vogelbach led the Brewers 2-5, both hits being home runs. This includes a solo shot on the first to open the scoring and a two-run tater at the end of the seventh which made the game a 5-tie.

Jackie Bradley Jr and Avisail Garcia finished the day 2-5 each on the plate.

Those three together scored six of Milwaukee’s seven goals that day. The other hit came from Travis Shaw, who finished with an RBI 1-5.

Freddy Peralta made no decision after throwing five innings and allowing three deserved runs with three hits. Brad Boxberger also allowed two earned runs in 7th on a Bryan Reynolds home run.

JP Feyereisen took the loss by setting up the 10th inning and allowing Moran’s double. He also went on strike. This interrupted a scoreless series of 11 innings for Brewers’ Reliefs.

Since the runner who scored a goal was placed on the second base to start the 10th inning, the run is considered not deserved.

Richard Rodriguez won for Pittsburgh.

Milwaukee falls 8–7 in the season, including 2–1 in additional innings games. They’ll charge the jet and head west tonight to start a series against San Diego on Monday night. The first pitch is set for shortly after 9:00 p.m. Central. Pre-match coverage starts at 8:35 p.m. on WSAU.
