Effective Monday, the University of Pittsburgh will no longer require individuals who are vaccinated against COVID-19 to wear face masks outdoors on the main Oakland campus and Bradford, Greensburg, Johnstown and Titusville branches.Masks are still required of everyone inside university buildings. Physical distancing will also no longer be required, officials said, basing their decision on the university’s Health Advisory Group.”As a reminder, wearing a face covering is not a signal of vaccination status,” a university statement read. “Some people will continue to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status as a matter of individual preference and comfort.
