PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Duquesne Light plans to increase its rates.

The company filed this request with the Public Utilities Commission on Friday.

Under the proposed plan, the average home would pay an additional $ 7.73 per month.

The average commercial customer would pay about $ 55 more per month.

According to Duquesne Light, the company has not increased its key rate since 2018 and needs more money for critical infrastructure adjustments.
