EF0 twister landed in Indiana County – CBS Pittsburgh final week

INDIANA, Pennsylvania (KDKA) – The National Weather Service says a brief EF0 tornado landed in Indiana County last week.
The crews were out to assess the damage after heavy storms ripped through the area. According to the NWS, the tornado occurred on July 29th. Photos from the crime scene show a damaged barn and a path hewn through a field.

Over the weekend, the crews also found out that another short EF0 tornado was happening in Venango County. A photo of the damage shows a line of fallen trees north of Franklin on Route 417.

A day after the storms, the NWS said it believed an EF-1 tornado with winds up to 160 miles per hour tore through the Saltlick community.

A tornado that struck the border in Wintersville, Ohio also damaged more than two dozen buildings that day. There were also tornadoes in the east of the state.
