Episcopal Bishop of Pittsburgh to go to Somerset

Bishop Dorsey McConnell, the Episcopal Bishop of Pittsburgh, will make his last visit to St. Francis in the Fields church Aug. 25.

Bishop McConnell, the eighth bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh, was ordained on Nov. 9, 2012.  After his retirement on Sept. 18, 2021, he and his wife Betsy will reside in New Hampshire. 

On Wednesday, Bishop McConnell will conduct a service of Evening Prayer and Confirmation at 6:30 p.m. followed by an outdoor reception at St. Francis.

The Rev. Dr. Ketlen Solak was elected and will be ordained as the ninth Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh in the fall.
