The California Highway Patrol said Sharma was detained without incident and was sent to Santa Rita Prison for two incidents of reckless driving and disobedience to a peace officer. Before his arrest, the CHP published pictures of a man who did the same thing in two other incidents.
Sharma himself has posted videos on his Instagram account @goldcollarlavish seemingly basking in his notoriety. In a video he is shown in the back seat of a Tesla reading news reports about the driverless Tesla passenger while he is trolling the CHP.
Another video shows the perspective of a person sitting in the back seat of a Tesla on a freeway at night while looking at a tablet with a map showing the vehicle heading north on Interstate Highway 280 in Hillsborough moves.
Another post is a screenshot of a news report of his driverless exploits with the headline, “I got out of the pandemic in a self-driving car. The workers cannot understand my life. “
The @ goldcollarlavish account is a celebration of Sharma’s lifestyle in which he flaunts his material wealth while trolling those who are not up to his standard.
“Do you see this car? You farmers can’t afford this car. “Says Sharma and grins into the camera in one of the posts.
“You are all cheap poor lower-class farmers who cannot afford Lambo trucks, and I purposely drive them in your ghetto to make you feel small,” says another post.
Other posts from previous years show him posing in the toilet with loads of cash, luxury items, and even Pellegrino water.

Sharma is used to notoriety. Eight years ago he was featured in a vice article documenting his rich brat personality and ability to troll celebrities on the internet. The article referred to an Instagram account with a quarter of a million followers that is now inactive.
