Jamaican Restaurant Listed in Pittsburgh’s Prime 20 New Eating places for 2020
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania restaurants have had their worst year in history due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Indoor dining will be closed on January 4, 2021 by order of the state to stop the spread of the disease. Even in 2020, there are still plenty of places to eat out in Pittsburgh, and while the top 20 new restaurants NEXTPittsburgh opened here in 2020 can’t serve indoor dining, take-out and delivery are still excellent options , and some even brave the elements outside with heat lamps and fire pits.
One of the new restaurants that is highly recommended by NEXTPittsburgh is 2 Sisters, 2 Sons Caribbean Cuisine in Sharpsburg. This venue offers a taste of Jamaica for one great value. The menu includes traditional island dishes like fried plantains, beef patties, spicy jerk chicken, curry chicken and seafood fritters. It also offers family-sized meals for larger groups such as oxtail dinners or goat dinners in a brown curry stew. Guests have welcomed the Jamaican restaurant in the rapidly changing neighborhood.
Other new restaurants on the top 20 list include Fig & Ash on the north side, which specializes in home-style cooking with Italian and French influences. Sewickley Tavern in Sewickley, serving what is known as “fine bar food”. El Sabor Latin Kitchen at Penn in Bloomfield offers Mexican cuisine with a Honduran influence. The Coop de Ville in the Strip District has an arcade, lounge and small library, as well as a selection of chicken dishes and a fully stocked coffee bar. Mi Empanada offers the perfect takeaway with Argentinean style empanadas created by an Argentinian. Viridis on the south side, which focuses on breakfast and offers pastries like Match Pistachio Croisssants Glazed Brioche Donuts; The Speckled Egg in downtown Pittsburgh offers a first-class breakfast menu with traditional selections, cutting-edge innovations such as crab-garnished avocado toast, as well as mixed juices and unique cocktails. Pane è Pronto in the Strip District is a bakery with baguettes, ciabatta, sourdough, and focaccia, as well as homemade pasta and sauces, favorites like eggplant lasagna. The Cobra in Bloomfield serves Korean food in a futuristic place with neon lights and features Kimchi Mandu Dumplings and Wagyu Fried Rice. and Pita My Shawarma in Lawrenceville, which started out as a food truck and now has Lebanese and Mediterranean food such as falafel wrap and chicken shawarma in one store.

Lebanon; MICK, Upper St. Clair; Brick & Barrel, Fox Chapel; Oak Hill Post, Brookline; The Standard Market & Pint House in downtown; Chef’s Table Restaurant, Ross; and St. Clair Social, friendship.
