The award is endowed with a $ 25,000 grant to keep the mission alive.
“It will help us keep feeding people. We’re giving away approximately 3,400 meals a month, now up to over 1,500 meals. So the money will help us keep feeding the people who need meals most, ”said Kevin Bode, Founder of Knead Community Cafe.
Bode and volunteers distribute meals weekly. More than $ 100,000 was raised each year to support the business.
