Man asks to go away a backpack with explosives in Pittsburgh | information

Pittsburgh (AP) – A Pittsburgh man left a backpack containing a self-made explosive device in a bush outside a complex in the city center during last year’s protests against the Minneapolis police’s murder of George Floyd. I plead guilty.

Matthew Michanowicz, 53, pleaded guilty in federal court Monday to possession of an unregistered destructive device.

Officials said it was seen on a surveillance video on May 31, 2020, with a military-style backpack placed near a bike stand under some trees in PNC Plaza. The newspaper reported.

Officials said Michanowicz first went to the area to see the property damage caused during the protest, but initially denied knowing the backpack. Mikanovich, originally charged with arson and in possession of weapons of mass destruction, is scheduled for December 13th.
