An Allegheny County man wanted in connection with an arson in the Pittsburgh area was arrested in western Crawford County.

Vincent Chalmers, 46, of Baldwin, was arrested early Friday by the Pennsylvania State Police in Meadville on an Allegheny County arrest warrant, Sgt. Joseph Lobdell, commander of the Meadville Barracks, confirmed to the Tribune.

Chalmers is being held in Crawford County Correctional Facility in Saegertown awaiting extradition to Allegheny County on charges of a fire on Thursday afternoon in Baldwin.

According to online court records, Chalmers is being charged by Allegheny County Police Department with two arson threats and one arson threat.

Pittsburgh-based KDKA-TV reported Friday that the fire was in a house on Revo Road in Baldwin on Thursday afternoon.

Allegheny County Police Department said a witness told investigators that Chalmers started the fire around 2:45 p.m. Thursday, KDKA reported. The fire started near the porch and then entered the house, the TV station reported.
