Nigel Farage’s US tour look in Pittsburgh flopped after solely a handful of individuals confirmed up

Nigel Farage’s last date on a US lecture tour flopped after only 21 people showed up, even though the tickets were free – and six of them were from his area.

It is believed that nearly 3,000 registered last night to listen to the former Ukip leader in Pittsburgh.

However, the seats are believed to have been booked by people who never intended to attend, as happened in some rallies organized for Donald Trump.

The official attendance for Pittsburgh was given as 14.

Prior to the event, the Westerham-based Brexiteer had taken to Twitter to mock people who reserved seats they didn’t want to take.

He tweeted: “The hoaxers who booked fake tickets for my events in America covered their hand.

“Thanks for the promotion, free speech will win.”

In the aftermath of the Pittsburgh failure, it was widely reported that a spokesman for the company who booked Mr. Farage for the US lecture tour said he “miscalculated his popularity” after only 21 people showed up, even though the tickets were free .

Mr. Farage, whom Trump referred to as “Mr. Brexit,” will speak in Cincinnati tonight.
