PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Dozens of residents of a North Hills nursing home received their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

The assisted living facility in Haven at North Hills hosted its second COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Saturday.

The hope is that the vaccinations will prevent infection and allow visitors to see their loved ones.
“It will change a lot of things. In two weeks, when the antibodies are fully effective, we will open our doors with visits. We will follow CDC guidelines but will invite our families, ”said Jennifer Gross, Executive Director of The Haven in North Hills.

More than 70 residents were vaccinated on Saturday.
